Preheat the oven to 350. Grease a bundt pan. Whisk together 2 cups flour, 1&1/4 cups sugar, and 3/4 tsp. baking soda. In a different bowl, whisk a little less than 2/3 nestle chocolate milk mix (aka all that's left in the container) and 1&1/4 cups milk. Add two spoonfulls vanilla extract. Then add it to the dry mixture. Whisk. Then add an egg. If you're going to do this, add the egg to the wet mixture before you add it to the dry mixture. Put it in the pan, and...just a second. I'm blogging while it's still cooking. I'll let you know how long I do it for and how it tastes.
Nope not yet...totally stuck to the fork. Oh! And I added valentine's day sprinkles to the top of the batter before I put it in the pan...and then I just tried to scrape the top of the batter in the bowl to the bottom of the bundt pan so it would turn up on top when I flipped it out...Which I totally could have added the sprinkles straight to the bottom of the bundt pan...But I didn't think "Hey I want it at the top." until I had already added it.
Uh. That's weird. Wrong texture..Lemme see if I can dry it out a little.
Weeell...Helen and mom like it. And I...No. Nope. No. Not good. Not good. No. I don't like it. It's weird. Just so you know, I cooked it about 45 mins total.
So why is it called love cake? Because it has valentine's day sprinkles in it! And isn't that what love is all about? Forgiving people for their nastyness and
P.S. I am so not eating that cake. I'll take berry blue jello with blueberries instead. Good thing I made that earlier today.
