Painting Sleepover

It turns out that a painting sleepover is even funner than it sounds.  We all went to the store and everyone got to pick out their own canvas size.  Then we split the cost on paint and brushes.
The black on the bottom of this one and the top of the other is just from the photo i took.  It's not part of the painting.
That purple is royal blood not a badly drawn hand.
The first painting I did on the night of the sleepover and the next one I did the day or two after.  While everyone was finishing theirs I was still happily painting away at the grass.  It literally took forever.  But it was fun.  The red barn was a blob I put on there and then figured out what it was.  That's how I started in the other painting.  I started with a purple line and the painting came from there.
It seems to me there is nothing more relaxing than doing something so monotonous as painting grass.  It's like mowing grass.  So relaxing.  Even more than taking a bath sometimes.  Whenever I take a bath I have to bring something else along too because I get bored.  The last time I took a bath I brought my laptop in, placed it on the toilet lid, and watched Knight's Tale.  Also if I stay in too long I tend to overheat.
I would have pictures on here of what my friends painted but they of course brought their paintings home with them.  One friend painted two small ones of Bible verses with little decorations.  Another friend did an abstract.  And another painted a tree then kept adding on other stuff next to it and over it until it ended up looking, at least in my opinion, like a house and tree underwater.  My sister cheated and got a felt painting with markers where you just color it in.  However, hers was better than any of ours so I guess I can't say anything.
I'm definitely going to have do a painting sleepover again some day, and maybe I'll branch out from grass that time.
